The proposed facility improvements are needed to ensure that the District’s aging facilities continue to be safe and comfortable learning environments that serve the educational and community needs of its constituents for the foreseeable future. Architectural and engineering services are provided by LHB and financial consulting will be provided by Ehlers and Associates.

- Indoor Air Quality and occupant comfort will be improved through creating a water tight exterior, new mechanical system with increased fresh air and dehumidification.
- Lighting and Electrical Systems will be replaced improving the light levels, provide options for daylight harvesting, and new lighting controls.
- Reduced System Background Noise Levels will be a goal of all building systems in all spaces.
- Accessibility is a challenge at the two-story area of the building. Adding a new elevator will provide access to nearly five additional learning spaces which are currently under-utilized.
- Furniture, Fixtures and Equipment will also be replaced providing new opportunities for teaching and learning especially for those with special needs in the classrooms
- New finishes throughout will provide an aesthetic which compliments the learning environments and provides a wonderful image for parents considering a move to the district or looking at other educational opportunities.
- Safe and Secure design features will include:
- Door hardware which incorporates keyless entry and the ability to lock down/lock-out at any time.
- Building wide communication system
- Secure entry direct to the administration with a three zone/step access process to student areas.
- Cameras other passive security amenities

- Replace Aging Finishes and Surfaces will improve the look of the building and reduce the number of maintenance issues.
- Safe and Secure design features will include:
- Exterior door hardware which incorporates keyless entry and the ability to lock down/lock-out at any time.
- New entry security processes
